The parcel of Santenots is actually located just within the commune of Meursault, but because of its proximity to Volnay, is permitted use of the Volnay village name for its red wines. Daniel’s parcel is located within Les Santenots-Dessous parcel, adjacent to those of the Hospices de Beaune. Owing to its high clay component, always a wine of lush sensuality, possessing a bright red fruit profile and a reserved generosity in its youth, and which promises a dynamic and lengthy internal conversation.

Lush & sensual. Opens with ripe suggestions of sweet cherry, liquor-like sweetness leading to a full palate of darker, blacker fruit dotted with subtle suggestions of animal hide. Rich & sturdy, this is a wine which will certainly benefit from several years of bottle age in order to shed its youthful exuberance. Classic Santenots!!
