Drawing on a variety of parcels and taking advantage of their different characters, this delightful village wine is wonderfully representative of how charming and pure the red wines from this commune can be. From several village parcels including Les Boutières, Les Noirets, Sous le Bois de Noël et Belle-Filles, Les Pins, mixing east, south and west facing exposures.

No doubt a character of the vintage, and certainly emblematic of the house style, delightful purity and transparency mark all of the Pavelot reds in 2006, the village bottling no less so than their more statured parcels. Red berry flavors, cherry distillate and a very Pinot like nose waft through the senses while the delicate weight levitates just above the palate. Not overly bright, not weighty or dark. This wine, of humble origin, moves with a dancer’s grace and satisfies most profoundly.
