Joli Vin imports

Côtes du Roussillon, Cine Panetonne
Grenache Gris, Carignan Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Macabeu and Muscat
Whatever its differences, this wine clearly recalls the great mineral driven wines of Chablis, Mosel and the Wachau. It was planted just after the Second World War on a patch of mica-schist rock and at an altitude between 500 and 600 m, both facts of which explain its racy energy and mineral profile.
On the nose it remains reserved and tightly strung, but once on the palate, flavors of lime zest, narcissus flowers and if it can be imagined, essence of crushed rock. It has considerable energy and a subtle richness at the same time, perhaps explained by its lees contact over 12 months spent in 2nd and 3rd year barrels. Clearly, it ranks among the very best white wines currently being produced in the region.
